Indian Ketogenic Diet Plan

The Indian Ketogenic diet plan is easier to follow then most other diet plans. The main benefit of keto diet is that every meal in the plan leaves you full and satisfied and you will hardly have any cravings for food. For the first few days if your body is used to sugar, you might have some sugar cravings since you are not allowed to have any sugars during the ketogenic diet, these cravings will slowly subside so don’t worry about them.

A keto diet is typically done for at least 40 days to get best results. This actually depends on the amount of weight you wish to lose in the process. If you are targeting around 10-15 kgs of weight loss, a 40 days’ plan is highly recommended for you. For small goals like 2-5 kg of weight loss, you can do it for 7 to 14 days.

Here is a rough layout of an Indian Ketogenic diet plan with options that are suitable for you.

Breakfast:

Breakfast would mainly contain eggs. As no carbohydrates are allowed you will have to stick to an egg based diet. You can actually have egg in any form cooked with butter or ghee so that the fats are taken care of. Some of the options for breakfast are as follows:

  • Cheese Omelette.
  • Breakfast muffins.
  • Spinach cheese omelette.

Lunch:

Your Lunch will again have more of fat, some protein and minimum carb. Since you would need some fibers for digestion, it is recommended that you have some green leafy vegetable like spinach in your lunch. Some of the options that you can have are as follows;

  • Fried Chicken with green salad.
  • Fried Paneer tikka with green salad
  • Cauliflower casserole.

Dinner:

Dinner the last day of the meal is preferred to be lighter than other meals. Dinner can be similar to your lunch or if you like having a completely different dish, you can go for a freshly made dish. The options for dinner are as follows;

  • Keto cauliflower Pizza.
  • Keto lasagna.
  • Paneer butter masala (made with keto recipe)

Snacks:

It’s actually not recommended to have snacks, but you might have food cravings sometime during the day. To deal with that you can have the following:

  • Almonds
  • Walnut
  • Keto cookies

Points to Remember:

You can have tea, coffee etc. without sugar or with artificial sweeteners that have low or no carbs. Green tea is the best choice that you can have throughout the day.

Also in case you feel that you need more fibers you can have a glass or 2 of Isabgol (Psyllium husk). This is help you with proper digestion.
